Port of Hope's Bowling Fundraiser

Port of Hopes Inc. is a non-profit organization located at 731 Griswold St. in Port Huron for adults impacted by mental illness. We provide a safe haven for the individuals that attend our center. Our facility provides hope, support, help to any struggling individual, a listening ear, a cup of coffee, computer usage, friendship, or just a place to hang his/her hat and more. We are open 365 days a year from 8 am until 6 pm. Many times, people impacted by mental illness are far too often forgotten. At some point in our travels through life, mental illness can impact a close family member, a special friend, a neighbor, a veteran, or even you. We here at Port of Hopes are striving to bring awareness to this issue.
We want to strike out the stigma of mental illness! Our hope is that you will select a sponsorship opportunity (see attached Sponsorship Opportunities form). Unity as a community is so paramount in supporting individuals with mental illness and fostering community awareness. Thanks to Sullivan Construction of St. Clair County LLC for being our vendor sponsor this year. To ensure we meet all of our goals this year, we need your contribution!

All proceeds raised at our event will 100% go towards us fulfilling our goals. Our first goal is to raise enough funds to build a pavilion for our members’ picnic area. Another goal we have is to install a small white picket fence around the perimeter of our side lot, which will allow our members to have a safe, stigma free location to enjoy the outdoors. Our hope is to be able to set up yard games and to encourage members to socialize with their peers. Any remaining proceeds raised will be used to assist with social activities and other programs such as bingo, card games, crafts, and educational trips available to members in our organization.
