More Information (My Hope FM is not responsible for external websites)
Dear Bereaved Parents -
If you are looking for a community support group that understands your very specific loss - the death of a child - please reach out. ❤️
This summer we will be meeting on the second Friday of June, July, & August at McLaren Port Huron Hospital from 6 - 7:30pm.
Registration is not required, and you are welcome to bring your spouse or a support person with you.
If you are running late, join us anyway.

The atmosphere is very comfortable.
We meet in the Drew Classroom, which is located next to the Women's Wellness Center, just inside of the Wismer Main Entrance but away from the busyness of the hospital.
We are seated in comfortable seats around a group of tables, with dim lights and lots of tissues and chocolates.
We remember our children and we share stories.
We cry and we laugh - both are okay, and we ALL do both.
We talk about things that we have gone through, resources we've found that are helpful, and ways of grieving that have worked for us.
We ask for help when we are feeling desperate, and we help others who are struggling when it is their difficult day.
We come from all walks of life and have experienced loss through many different things - miscarriages, stillbirths, accidents, illnesses, overdoses, suicides, and sometimes by the hand of another.
We have lost children of all ages - in utero, as babies, teens, & adults. It depends on who joins us any given month. We love to encourage those with similar losses to reach out to each other to connect outside of the group.
Some of our children died recently, and for some of us it has been many years. No matter how long ago our child died, we all have a few things in common -
We all love our kids.
We love talking about them.
We have felt lost and alone since they died.
We walk through life with broken hearts.
We were all strangers at one point, but together we have built friendships that have carried us through the darkest of days.
We do not have all the answers.
But we are slowly learning what it means to survive.
Most importantly, we welcome you with open arms to join us.
If you have any questions, please reach out...
... even if you are anxious, afraid, or don't know what to say.
Because we were all there once.
With gentle hugs and much love,
From your friends at
